Description Colour in life: disc colour bluish with dark blue spots, spotted radial shields, ventrally lighter blue with dark spots (Sloan et al., 1979. Arms banded in grey and pale blue. Description: Arm length to 80 cm (about 20 times disc diameter), disc diameter 1-4 cm. Disc scales covered by thorny stumps. Radial shields with rugose granule-like stumps.
