Notes  Biology: zooxanthellate [details]

Description: Colonies are arborescent to caespitose. Corallites are widely spaced. The coenosteum is fine, thus giving branches a smooth appearance. Colour: uniform blue, cream or pale brown. Abundance: uncommon except in turbid water around fringing reefs. Growth forms and habitat preferences are similar to those of A. horrida (Veron, 1986).
Irregularly branching, tree-like, with a rambling growth form. Colour: pale cream to khaki green. Habitat: diverse (Richmond, 1997). [details]
