Taxonomic remark Rowlett (2020) states that this species has been reclassified as Duncanopsammia peltata in 2014 but this is not correct. He is probably referring to a publication by Arrigoni et al. (2014), which still refers to Turbinaria peltata. Morphological and phylogenetic evidence is sufficient to support this new combination. There is a growing number of online sources in which this new combination is accepted. [details]
