Description Thick shell, up to 5 cm, with moderate spire and prominent nodules on shoulders of whorls. Colour light yellow to fawn, to dark purplish brown, with a single whitish band across the centre of the body whorl and another around shoulders. Base of the shell purplish-brown. Aperture narrow and purple with faint central, white band. Habitat: around rocks and coral reefs in shallow water. Distribution: Indo-Pacific. (Richmond, 1997). [details]
