Myers 1988 lists in Appendix III those species which should be removed from the family Aoridae as: Lemboides caecus Ledoyer, 1982 to Neomegamphopidae. Barnard& Karaman, 1991 retained the species questionably under Lemboides, noting the thoughts of Myers 1988. Until the species is placed within an existing or new genus within the Neomegamphopidae, it is retained here.
