Original description

The test is small and straight in a single row, gradually enlarging toward the aperture, and the cross section of the test is round. The test surface is decorated with very fine, discontinuous stripes, and the sutures are relatively flat. The first chamber is spherical and has a larger diameter than the second chamber, so it clearly protrudes from the test surface. Other test chambers are round in shape, with a total of 8 to 9 test chambers that grow very slowly, and the chamber width is slightly larger than the chamber height. The test wall is transparent and composed of irregular calcite particles. The aperture surface is slightly raised, and the test aperture is round hole shaped. Test height 0.4 mm; maximum width 0.12 mm; chamber diameter 0.05 mm; test wall thickness 0.01 mm. Comparison The currently described new species is very similar to Nodosaria geinitzi Reuss, but the sutures of the latter are significantly concave, whereas the sutures of the new species are flatter. In addition, the new species is also very similar to Nodosaria fisheri Crespin, but the test surface decoration of the latter is thick and obvious, while the test surface decoration of the new species is intermittent and not obvious. Viewed from the longitudinal section of the test, the new species is similar to Nodosaria bella Lipina, but the latter has thicker test walls and no striped test decoration. Origin and stratum: Jiaozi Mountain, Anshun prefecture, Guizhou province; Upper Permian Changhsingian stage. [details]
