Synonymy Although Alander did not provide a description, it is likely that he mistook his specimen for Hymedesmia clavigera Lundbeck, 1910 (not Levinsen). The senior secondary homonymy with Lundbeck's species is not based on the type specimens and in any case Levinsen's species is accepted as Phorbas clavigera rendering the homonymy moot. [details]
