Notes  Thomas (1973) had Acanthella carteri Dendy, 1889 as a synonym of Axinella carteri (Dendy, 1889). Acanthella carteri here is considered a species of Stylissa carteri (Dictyonellidae). These records need to be compared for validity. [details]
