Etymology So named because Moore had reported the specimen later named as Terebellides moori by Hessle (1917) [details]
Spelling Terebellides moori was incorrectly data-entered as T. moorei by Fauchald in WoRMS until corrected in 2020 when seen used correctly spelled in Schüller & Hutchings, 2013. BHL appears to be also using T. moorei for what is undoubtedly usages in Hessle as T. moori. The Hartman catalogue uses Terebellides moori. [details]
Status Terebellides moori Hessle 1917 was introduced with minimal description by Hessle for Alaska specimens identified by Moore as Terebellides stroemii. Schüller & Hutchings, 2013 regarded the name as a nomen dubium, but it would be determinable if Moore's specimen was still available in a museum. [details]Unreviewed
