Description A squat shell with thick varices and a small, round aperture, up to 5 cm. Anal canal forms a long projecting spout which is retained on the upper whorls; columella and outer lip ridged. Colour dirty yellow or cream, dotted with brown; aperture and inner lip violet. Habitat: often under boulders on reef crest. Distribution: Indo-Pacific. (Richmond, 1997). [details]
