From editor or global species database
Taxonomy De Laubenfels (1936) and Lévi (1959) reported this species from Florida and West Africa, but from their descriptions it is clear that they described Mycale (Arenochalina) laxissima. Dickinson's (1945) record from the Gulf of California is also incorrect and concerns very probably Mycale (Carmia) cecilia. [details]
