Taxonomy The genus Psammocinia is in need of revision, because the distribution of the species is strongly biased towards New Zealand (10 species) and South Korea (17) species, and barely any other species known from inbetween localities. It appears as if the species concept in this genus suffers from extreme splitting with virtually all specimens assigned to a species of its own. [details]
