Abstract
New records of 50 Calliotropis species from various western Pacific localities are listed, extending their distribution. A synthetic diagnosis is given for each species, with possibly a survey of new conchological variations. 7 new species are described from Solomon Islands, New Caledonia, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, and compared with similar species: Calliotropis stethos n. sp., C. prionote n. sp., C. tavmaste n. sp., C. achantodes n. sp., C. siopele n. sp., C. chrypte n. sp. and C. myriamae n. sp. 5 new synonymies are established: Calliotropis enantioserrata Hickman, 2016 is synonymized with C. excelsior Vilvens, 2007; C. tominiensis Hickman, 2016 is synonymized with C. conoeides Vilvens, 2007; C. bukabukaensis Hickman, 2016 is synonymized with C. cynee Vilvens, 2007; C. annonaformis Lee & Wu, 2001 and C. stellaris Lee & Wu, 2001 are synonymized with C. calcarata (Schepman, 1908).
