Type locality Pacific Ocean, Sea of Japan. Pacific Ocean, Japan. The species was described with base on specimens from four different localities, all located along the Japanese coast of the Sea of Japan: Funadomari, in Rebun island, Kutsugata, in Rishiri Island, Irika, in Hokkaido, and Noto-ogi, in Honshu. However the original description does not refer which of them is the type locality. [details]
