Description Colonies are massive, usually flattened or hillocky, cerioid, with thick thecae. Columellae are small and are surrounded by a crown of tall paliform lobes. Septa are straight with a neat appearance. Colour: pale brown or dull green, becoming dark in deep water. Oral discs are generally cream but may be bright green. Abundance: occupies a wide range of habitats but is seldom common. (Veron, 1986 <57>) [details]
