Etymology Not stated. Clearly a combination of Sabella and Omma, neuter Greek noun for eye. [details]Grammatical gender Gender is neuter, as for the other -omma names in Sabellidae, Acromegalomma, Branchiomma, and Pseudobranchiomma. However, the authors of Sabellomma did not modify the suffix for the type species to 'minutum' as required when they recombined Parasabella minuta. [details]
