If 'suroestense' was an unmodified placename, not given an adjectival suffix, it must be a noun in apposition and unmodifiable for gender. However the actual place name is Punta Suroeste (Southwest Point in English) so the use of the spelling 'suroestense' may be the result of a misunderstanding [details]
