Synonymy K.H. Barnard described E. semidentatus on the basis of differences with Gammaropsis holmesi (Stebbing, 1908). Re-examination of Stebbing's material revealed that it was unusually highly developed for the species. Normally developed specimens were indistinguishable from E. semidentatus and since G. holmesi has priority, E. semidentatus falls into synonymy with it. [details]
