Synonymy Sometimes confused with Scaphocalanus major, as yet they are not synonymous. According to Vervoort (1965, p. 63) the described form under this designation by Brodsky, 1950 (1967) is a synonym of S. major. The geographical distribution remains uncertain. [details]
