Homonymy Bulimina reussi is originally a nomen novum for B. ovulum Reuss, 1845 meant to be a junior homonym of B. ovula d'Orbigny, 1839.
1-Both ovula (a genus of sea snails) and ovulum (an ovule) may be considered as different nouns in the nominative singular standing in apposition to the generic name.
2-B. ovula Terquem, 1882 accepted as Buliminella ovula was published as a junior homonym of d'Orbigny's species.
