Alien species Reported as an alien species record from in Levantine Sea by Çinar, but the specimen was subsequently described as a new species (Semiodera cinari Salazar-Vallejo, 2012). Çinar stated: "As it was only found in Iskenderun Bay, where many ports are located, this species might have been introduced to the area by ballast waters of ships from Indo-Pacific areas" [details]
