The two orders Astrophorida and Spirophorida are proposed to be united as suborders in a single ordinal taxon named Tetractinellida, which forms part of a subclass Heteroscleromorpha (previously named G4 or Democlavia). [details] A 'temporary name' status is given to taxa above the family level that need further corroboration or further clarification. These names appear in the literature but are as yet not generally accepted or in use. Accepted status will follow as soon as independent studies with sufficient taxon content have appeared.
