Environment marine, brackish, fresh, terrestrial
Fossil range recent only
Notes  Taxonomy: Mörch mentions material from North Australia, which might be referred to Spirobranchus cf. polytrema, and from New Zealand, which is reminiscent of Spirobranchus cariniferus (Gray, 1843) . However, McIntosh (1885) clearly is Spirobranchus latiscapus (fide Kupriyanova et al., 2001). Hartman (1966) referred the taxon to Pomatoceros caeruleus, which is a complete confusion of several species attributable to different genera. [details]
