Description Colonial flabelloid corallum covered by a thick tectura with strong costae. A single valley strongly bent with centers visible with the curvature of septa. Radial elements are compact free exsert bicuneiform costosepta, swollen on the inner edge, straight to curved, strongly hierarchised with regard to their thickness. Granules on lateral faces. Comparison Very close of Rhipidogyra but there are distinct centers in the valley which is strongly bent. [details]

Thin lamellar columella. Endotheca not observed. Wall probably septoparathecal. [details]

Remark Alloiteau 1957 mentioned that the costae corresponding to S1 are developed over the all height of the corallum This is also drawn in the figure by Fromentel 1865 but it has not been observed on the lectotype; This confusion is probably related to the incrustations by serpulids. The ornamentation described by Alloiteau 1957 is purely diagenetic and due to an intense silicification, the figures 188-189 are highly conceptual. [details]
