[details] Distribution: More common in north of range [details] Taxonomy: By some elder authors Trivia monacha and Trivia arctica are taken together under the name T. europaea (Montagu, 1808). It is however clear now thatTrivia monacha and Trivia arctica are two different species. The difference between the two species is being disccussed by Ankel (1936) and Fretter & Graham (1981).
