Nomenclature Fuchs (1877) applied two spellings of the species, quadricarinata (in description on p. 39) and tricarinata (on p. 37 and in plate caption). Brusina (1881) acted as First Reviser pro quadricarinata. Unaware of this, Neubauer et al. (2013) recombined the species as Pseudodianella tricarinata. [details]
