Nomenclature Introduced as replacement name for H. obtusa umbilicata Wenz, 1913, non H. umbilicata Pilsbry in Dall, 1892. Wenz' name was not available from Wenz (1913), where he introduced the name as "mutation". However, since it was treated as a valid name by Wenz (1925), who referred to his earlier description and ranked the replacement name as distinct species, it is available as of 1913 and hence a junior homonym. In 1930, Wenz erroneously re-introduced the same replacement name again without any reference to his action of 1925 (Wenz 1930: 65). [details]
