Description "Carapace subquadrate, large, heavy, smooth with numerous pores; ventro-lateral rib prominent, rounded, ending posteriorly in a short spine; dorso-lateral rib prominent, rounded; anterior margin denticulate, posterior margin with a few irregular strong spines; subcentral tubercle obscure; right valve with posterior tooth distinctly lobed." Diagnosis "Close to Bradleya arata (Brady, 1880), and known only from Pakaurangi Point· Distinguished by the square smooth shell with rounded keels." (Hornibrook, 1952: XX) [details]
Taxonomy Benson (1972) considered questionable the assigment of this species to the genus Bradleya. [details]
