Etymology The species is named in honour of Dr. Sergio I. Salazar-Vallejo, professor and friend of the senior author, for his work and contribution to the knowledge of the Polychaeta from the Grand Caribbean. [details]
Habitat In sand, amongst macroalgae, sponges, marine meadows of phanerogams, roots of mangroves, mixed sediments and detritic sediments. [details]
Type locality Mexico, Cancún, Punta Nizuc (20º02'N, 86º44'W). [details]
