Distribution Vos (2012:14; 2013:35) discussed recent dredgings of young specimens of Tonna melanostoma (Jay, 1839) in Chinese waters, concluding that it is currently still uncertain that this species is to be considered a part of that fauna, or a pseudo-population originating from larval drift.
