Taxonomic remark Hutchings & McRae (1993) re-examined the type material (USNM 16849) and rejected the synonymy of A. armifera Moore with A. talpa Quatrefages earlier proposed by Fauvel (1926). Hutchings & McRae (1993) stated A. armifera "clearly differs from" A. talpa, however no redescription or other comments were provided of the type of A. armifera [details]
