Diagnosis Polyp colonies branched or unbranched. The perisarc reaches up to the base of the hydranth which is thickened and club-shaped. The filiform tentacles are arranged in one whorl around the base of the hypostome. The gonophores are sporosacs on short stalks below the tentacles. [details]
Diagnosis Colonies mostly stolonal, with perisarc terminating at hydranth base; hydranth thick, clavate; tentacles filiform, in 2-3 whorls below hypostome; those of one whorl more or less alternating with those of adjecent whols, hypostome proboscis-like, extensible; gonophores fixed sporosacs, borne on gonozooids beneath tentacles.
