Etymology Marphysa mzingazia is named for the type locality, the Mzingazi canal, which leads into Richards Bay harbour. [details]
Habitat Found in crevices of muddy rocks (porous rocks made up of fine-grained particles) on the banks of the Mzingazi canal. The salinity regime is not stated. [details]
