Comparison The coral especially similar to Thamnasteria and Pamiroseris. From Thamnasteria differs in porosity observed at the inner septal margin, and in papillar columella. Similar to Pamiroseris Melnikova, especially in having geniculate (U-shaped) septa. From known species of the latter genus it differs in sharp granulation. A re-examination of the type material should clarify its relation to Pamiroseris. Differs from Seriastraea and other related genera in having geniculated septa and fine dissepiments. [details]

Description Brief diagnosis is given in a short English summary in Qi and Stanley,1989:17. [details]

Diagnosis Re-edited herein: Colony thamnasterioid, massive. Septa confluent, wavy and geniculate. At the internal margin septa discontinous, with trabecular projections that form a poor papillar columella. Lateral faces with abundant, sharp granules. Endotheca made of small, vesicular dissepiments. [details]

Remark Only one species is known. [details]
