Comparison The rectilinear morphotype is similar to Thamnasteria (s.l.) furukawai Kanmera, 1964, from which it differs in poorly marked centers and in a lack of columella. The genus differs from Andrazella Cuif in calicular series with poorly marked centers. [details]

Diagnosis Colony plate-like. Calices in straight or meandering series. Valleys deep, extremely narrow (0.8-2.5mm). Centers of calices poorly marked. Collins tectiform with sharp septothecal ridges.In the collins septa nonconfluent. Columella lacking. Septa short and thick. Distal border with low denticles. [details]

Status In Montanaro-Gallitelli, Russo and Ferrari, 1979: 149, the coral was described under the name of Andrazella Cuif, 1976 [details]
