Comparison From other Triassic meandroid corals, this one differs in lacking any centered elements of the microstructure and in non-ornamented septa. [details]
Description The coral rarely described, described only from the Early Norian of Turkey and from Early Norian from the North America, Nevada (Roniewicz and Stanley, 2013). [details]
Diagnosis Colony meandroid, valleys uniserial, limited by incomplete wall, in places made of peripheral septal ends joined with neighboring septa. Calices rarely individualized; calicular centers rare, lacking connections, in the valley divided by sectors with septa parallel to each other. Septa non-confluent and subconfluent, thin, lacking ornamentation. Endotheca dissepimental, abundant. Mid-septal zone linear, recrystallized. [details]
Remark Meandrovolzeia represents the only volzeiid colonial coral. [details]
