Type designation According to Wiedenmayer (1977) there were originally two specimens, but only a (large) fragment designated lectotype by Wiedenmayer remains in the collections of the Natural History Museum (BMNH 1884.4.14.9), as the remaining material in the Liverpool Free Museum was destroyed by the bombing of the museum during WWII.
