Description (a) Type specimen, female colony; scale bar 1 mm. (b) Hydranth; scale bar 0.5 mm. C) Nematocysts: microbasic euryteles; scale bar scale bar 10 µm. (1) Male gonophores; scale bar 0.2 mm. (e) Mature female gonophores or developing embryos, the hydranth and spadices are completely lost and the caulus has resumed growth distally, same scale as in (d). (f) Younger female gonophores that show the variation of the spadix form (shaded), same scale as (d).After: Schuchert P. 1996.
