Description Legend: Medusae drawn after life, (a) to (c) all the same scale, also oral view of manubrium. (a) Youngest stage found in the plankton, below oral view of manubrium; scale bar 1 mm. (b) Immature female from plankton, most frequently found stage. (c) Mature male medusa cultivated from a similar stage as given in (b). (d) nematocysts: microbasic eurytele from tentacles, same discharged, microbasic eurytele from mouth margin; scale bar 10 µm.
