Diagnosis Corallum solitary, cupolate, free; septotheca horizontal, often concave, and thin and fragile; costae usually thin ridges; axial edges of septa irregularly dentate, laterally braced by thin T- or Y-shaped synapticular plates that extend upwards and outwards; five cycles of septa; dissepiments absent; paliform lobes sometimes present; columella feeble. [details]
