Nais equisetina Duges
Description Nais equisetina Duges, 1837, Plate 1, figure 24Described on p31 as:
We can place this species near Nais digitata, and in the genus Proto of Oken, the one I will call Nais: equisetina (fig. 23). It is also similar to the elinguis by the presence of two eye points on the head. Several lines long, semi-transparent, colourless, with few and short rings, the Equisetina has, on each side, a row of coarse, hooked, rather long and usually double setae for each point of insertion (fig. 24). The posterior extremity of this small worm is furnished with a large bundle of fleshy straps, probably gills. I found it on the ulvas of our salt ponds.
