Authority Attributed to Valenciennes by L. Agassiz (1841: p. 51), who gave the type material to Agassiz. Valenciennes, however, never appears to have actually published the name, and thus Agassiz's use is the first to make the name validly available. Agassiz is, therefore, the correct author according to the Code. [details]
Fossil range Encope perspectiva is recorded from the Pleistocene near Santa Cruz, Oaxaca, Mexico. (Coppard & Lessios, 2017) [details]
Status While not formally synonymized by Coppard & Lessios (2017), it is clear from their text that they consider E. perspectiva as synonym of E. micropora. [details]
