Distribution This species appears to be restricted to areas of the southeast Asian mainland and the islands of Japan, Taiwan, and islands off eastern Peninsular Malaysia with reports from the Andaman Islands, the east coast of Thailand, the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the Gulf of Oman.
