Original description For a long time, Shiino (1952; Publications of the Seto Marine Biological Laboratory 2) had been regarded as the original description of this genus, but Tanaka and Kakui (2023) revealed that Shiino (1951: Bulletin of the Biogeographical Society of Japan 15) was the actual original description.
