Taxonomic remark BrachNet (2023) lists the taxonomic authority as "(Dall, 1920)", even though Dall (1920, p. 333) lists the original combination as Anomia disculus Pallas, 1766. From Alvarez (2017) it would seem that while the original 'disculus' Pallas is mollusk, the material Dall (1920) examined is synonymous with the brachiopod Anomia truncata Linné, and thus the citation for this material be Mühlfeldtia disculus (Dall 1920) (non Pallas 1766).
