Description Vom Habitus der Euchlora rubra. Magengefässe vorhanden. Geschlechtsprodukte werden in allen acht Meridionalgefässen erzeugt. Grösse 7—10 mm.
Die Euchlora filigera erschien während der Wintermonate 1878 in grösserer Zahl. Ich habe sie nicht lebend beobachtet, doch wurden mir mehrere Exemplare conservirt zur Untersuchung überlassen. Ihr Habitus und der Bau des Tentakelapparates stimmt mit dem der Euchlora rubra überein, allein sie übertrifft letztere an Grösse um das Doppelte. Trotzdem sie durch das Vorhandensein der Magengefasse und durch die Entwicklvmg von Geschlechtsprodukten in allen acht Gefässen sich wesentlich von der Euchlora rubra unterscheidet, so möchte ich sie doch nicht als eine neue Gattung hinstellen, bevor sie lebend beobachtet wurde und der feinere Bau des Tentakelapparates (der zu einem Knäuel in der Scheide aufgewundene Fangfaden scheint einfach zu sein) und der übrigen Organsysteme ernirt werden konnte.
Gelegentlich nennt Kölliker (1. c. p. 319) seine Owenia rubra auch O. filigera. Letzteres Prädikat lege ich nun definitiv der neuen Art bei.

Euchlora filigera appeared in greater numbers during the winter months of 1878. I did not observe them alive, but several specimens in good condition were given to me for examination. Its habitus and the construction of the tentacular apparatus agrees with that of Euchlora rubra, but it exceeds the latter in size by twice. Although it differs essentially from Euchlora rubra by the presence of the gastric vessels and by the development of sexual products in all eight vessels, I do not want to present it as a new genus until it has been observed alive and the finer construction of the tentacle apparatus (the tentacle thread wound up to a ball in the sheath seems to be simple) and the other organ systems could be investigated.
Occasionally Kölliker (1. c. p. 319) calls his Owenia rubra also O. filigera. The latter predicate I attach now definitely to the new species. [details]
