Diagnosis Test low and conical, concavoconvex, small globular proloculus followed by an embracing reniform second chamber and then by narrow annular chambers as viewed from the convex side, each chamber completely covering the concave side, chambers subdivided by numerous tiny radiating tubules that open as pores at the surface, anastomosing in a central vesicular region at the center of the concave side; wall calcareous, perforate, optically granular, surface smooth; no visible aperture other than the pores; commonly pairs of tests are joined by their umbilical surfaces, suggesting a plastogamic reproductive cycle.
