The occurrence of Paracytheridea tschoppi Van den Bold, 1946, is registered in the northern/northwestern Brazilian continental shelf, having its geographical distribution being extended until Lat. 12°52'5, Long. 38°05'W. It is described Paracytheridea batei Purper et Ornellas sp. nov.
