Taxonomy This species was ignored in recent reviews of Mediterranean hymedesmiids. Topsent (1938) assigned it to the synonymy of Hymedesmia dujardini, which is now considered to be a synonym of H. (Stylopus) coriacea. Vacelet & Perez (2008) recently described Phorbas tailliezi, which appears to be close to the present species. [details]
