Type locality Tustison et al (2020) report the type locality for Polygordius pacificus is near the Misaki Marine Biological Station, Honshu, Japan. This is the same type locality as P. ijimai. However, The type material has apparently been lost (Eijiroh Nishi pers. comm. to Tustison et al.). The specimens of the record and description of Tustison et al (2020) were not from near the type locality, rather they were from 450 km south of the type locality. [details]
